The Googs track is a fascinating desert track with great opportunities to camp at Googs Lake, interesting vegetation and scenery. Passed the lake the terrain gradually changes and we will encounter saltpans and rocky outcrops. The Gawler Ranges present typical South Australian bush scenery and driving. Although known to a lot of people, these areas are less travelled.

We will travelling along some famous Outback tracks which were carved by Len Beadell under commission by the SA government last century. Plenty of Saltbush and isolation will be our daily companion. Maralinga the old atomic bomb test side is now open for the general public to visit with a special permit. Time permitting we will make our way down to Ceduna via the Googs Track.

We will be visiting many famous places such as Birdsville, Old Andado and Cameron Corner just to name a few. We will tackle 'Big Red' the tallest sand dune in Australia and soak up the atmosphere of the Birdsville Pub while relaxing over a drink. Throughout our journey we will traverse over 1,000 sand dunes, negotiate salt lakes, shrub and grasslands.
